Greeting Card: The Feast

One of the most spectacular migrations off Vancouver Island’s eastern shores is the annual herring spawn. For a brief period between February and April, Pacific herring gather in vast numbers to spawn. This attracts countless creatures, from sea to sky, to take advantage of the great feast. Look out for milky turquoise waters close to shore between Comox and Parksville.
