Tania Leon is an ocean and food artist and illustrator based in Comox on Vancouver Island, BC.

For more than a decade, she has chased her passion for developing collaborative solutions in sustainable food, seafood, and ocean conservation. This journey has given her the humble opportunity to witness and work with some of the most inspiring sea/food folk along our coastline — from chefs, fishers, harvesters and distributors to marine biologists, educators and countless people who have devoted their life to embracing our connection to the sea.

Her artwork and illustrations are inspired by these experiences and her desire to share our local, natural and culinary treasures that make the BC Coast so special.

Sugar Kelp Studio became the new name for my illustration work as of late 2023 but you can still browse some of my past work below. Thanks for all your love and support!
